Job Posting! The CASEY Coordinator position will be posted shortly.  This position will ensure a forum is maintained for social service providers and community member to address sexual exploitation issues.  The coordinator will also be working with sexual health educators to make certain that sexual exploitation and related concerns are addressed in the public school system.

We have recieved funding from the ADM’s Committee to run the Nelson C.A.S.E.Y. for three years!  This will provide a postion for a coordinator and a youth worker to collaborate with community organizations and strategize our support and prevention programs. The recent SEPP Sensitivity Training was a great success with of 60 participants and 28 organizations represented.  Participants were from Nelson, Castlegar, Kamloops and smaller municipalities.  Topics included terminology, luring strategies, hierarchies, giving and recieving support, referrals and the team approach.
